COVID-19 Response

Bronze Winner of the Education Digital Marketing Awards 2020: COVID REsponse

COVID Microsite

Microsite

An externally-available microsite was created to deliver all communications in a way that was open, easily-searchable, and clear. Dedicated calls to action, separate from traditional marketing calls, directed students to constantly-updating information. Our COVID-19 emergency notification system is displayed as a sticky on top of our main page.

COVID Sub-Sections

Sub-Sections

Maintaining instruction and scheduled academic completion is one of our top priorities and a task force comprised of faculty and administration was established to maintain academic continuity until health and safety is completely restored. This includes CDC, WHO information and point of contact for D’Youville.

Digital COVID Response Plans

Digital Plans for Restart

Intended to communicate our process for returning to campus safely while maintaining the flexibility necessary to adapt to the ever-changing COVID-19 situation and regulations, we rolled out the following plans:

  • Restart D’Youville
  • FAQ for Students & Parents
  • FAQ for Employees
Virtual Open House emails and video capture

Virtual Open House

In the absence of an open campus, we swiftly developed and delivered a video-based open house experience that mimicked our traditional content, but was optimized for a video audience.

Each academic school had a specific, personalized email sent out to prospective students with features and highlights catered to their interests.

Covid Stickies

Virtual Communications

Departments utilized the technologies they had been using to deliver classroom experiences to introduce students through online experiences. The D’Youville admissions experts developed a process for simple virtual one-on-one experiences. To ease the burden to register, signing up was reduced to a simple name and contact form and that process was delivered on targeted pages through simple, sticky footers throughout our site.

Covid Campaigns

COVID Campaigns

Working closely with leadership, 3 initiatives were developed to support students affected by the pandemic, encourage engagement with students interested in getting involved in solution, and support communities most in need.

Each campaign took the form of a landing page, email, digital marketing campaign targeted to audiences regionally and demographically, and an organic webpage with a broad footprint to introduce the initiative and the university to an audience who might have had limited previous interaction.
